Assistant General Manager Couple for Private island
at Turneffe Island Lodge in Belize
A private island off the coast of Belize is looking for an Assistant General Manager Couple with professional appearance and upbeat attitudes is required for small Private Island in the Caribbean. AGMs will be working closely with the General Management couple and together will run all operations on the Island. Operations include, but are not limited to, guest relations, guest and island activities, island and boat maintenance, food and beverage, housekeeping, book keeping, supervising of staff, staff scheduling, transportation and the general day to day activities involved running of the island.
Requirements Person one:
Ability to oversea all guest activities
PADI Instructor - Teach PADI dive courses, including Nitrox
Professional fly fishing and spinning experience essential
Experience as a boat Captain a plus
Strong problem solving skills
Effective interpersonal skills and effective decision making skills
Ability to supervise all maintenance and mechanical operations
Mechanical experience a plus
Willing to get “hands dirty”
Confidence in whatever you do
Requirements Person two - Clerical:
Basic knowledge of accounting (accounts receivable and accounts payable), front desk, food and beverage, housekeeping and guest services operational procedures
Payroll experience a plus
Quickbooks experience a plus
PADI Instructor – Teach PADI dive courses, including Nitrox
Each member of the couple should be able to:
Communicate with proper grammar in English with our guests and personnel
Be computer literate
Imperative to have attention on detail and be well organized
Have financial management skills
Couples with previous management experience are preferred.
The couple will have to relocate to this very remote location.
