More Information

Cyclone Island was formed during the 1972 cyclone and is one of the closest off shore reef sites from Tufi.

This a sheltered dive site perfect for diving and snorkelling. The reef is decorated with colourful nudibranchs and look out for the rare rhinopias fish. The main reef rises up to just 5m below the surface and are covered with hard and soft corals. There is a small bommie that can easily be explored in a single dive with some small caves and overhangs.

The lee side of the island has a sheer wall that drops to about 40m and then gadually descends to hundreds of metres. Hammerheads have been known to pass along this wall.
