More Information
Dead Mans Gultch (sometimes called Avaavaroa Passage) is a long passage through the reef. This beautiful dive brings you through steep canyons and rocky cavern where you enter a bowl full of big fish and sharks feeding in the current. White tips, grey reef sharks (especially from May - August), turtles, schools of eagle rays and giant trevally are all common.
Experienced divers only are recommended due to the strong currents and depth. This is a definitely one of Rarotonga's best dive sites!
