More Information
Valley of the Rays is on the east coast of the Yap channel.
This deep valley has a sandy bottom and its plankton-rich waters attract groups of graceful mantas! There are three cleaning stations called Merry-go-round, Carwash and Manta Rock. Most dives will travel through each cleaning station until you find the mantas.
Words can't describe the amazing feeling of watching these majestic creatures sweep in from the blue and enter the cleaning station one at a time. They usually come in groups of four or five and float through the channel scooping up plankton into their huge mouths almost within touching distance of the divers.
Maximum depth is 18m but currents can be strong at times so consider taking a reef hook.
