Diving Overview for Martinique
Martinique is a beautfully relaxing paradise with long white beaches, excellent food and French sophistocation!
Most of the diving happens towards the south around St-Pierre. There are some colourful reefs and over a dozen shipwrecks as a result of the 1902 volcanic eruption of Mont Pelée. Cap Enragé has some spectacular underwater caves with pretty corals and fish species to look at and Ilet la Perle on the North-West coast is a popular site with coral-covered walls and hidden lobsters.
Divers can expect to see more smaller species around Martinique, there are lots of colourful reef critters and schools of small fish, lobsters and rays.
You can dive here all year round, there are sheltered sites for less experienced divers and some deeper wrecks and reefs for more experienced divers. Rainy season is June - September making dry season (December - May) a more popular time to visit.
