Diving Overview for St Vincent & the Grenadines
St Vincent and the Grenadines are a chain of idyllic Caribbean islands, free from tourist exploitation and surrounded by perfect crystal clear waters and bathed in sunshine!
St Vincents is the largest island and quite lively unlike the deserted islands dotted around it that took to the Hollywood limelight as the film location for the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean.
These warm clear waters offer unlimited dive opportunities among the pristine coral reefs and many wrecks. Marine life around these islands is plentiful from colourful tropical fish species and tiny sea horses to sea turtles, nurse sharks and the odd passing whale. The volcanic geography of these islands mean that the water is exceptionally clear and every reef is a totally different experience. Make sure to check out the Bat Caves for a unique diving experience in St Vincents and some of the underwater volcanoes around the Grenadines.
The south Grenadines are slightly warmer and drier than St Vincent but all islands experience a warm and tropical climate. Diving is possible all year round with wet season (and hurricane season -although being on the very southern end of the hurricane belt they are rarely ever affected) is from June to November.
