More Information
El Pimpollo is a multi-level dive, once believed to be a fossilized coral reef, was at some time buried under sediment and later revealed due to a change in ocean currents or levels.
The upper part, covered entirely with seaweed and small rocks, sits at 2-4 meters. Looking further, you will notice a whole row of mini caves. The smallest measuring just a few centimeters tall, while the highest reaches 2 meters. Each cave is home to either an array of Moray Eels and Sea Bass. A great place for night dives. It is useful to bring a light to look into the holes.
