Diving Overview for Arizona
Arizona in the Southern USA is known for its dry desert climate with super hot summers and mild winters. As well as scenic mouton ranges, pine forests and desert, you can explore the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and experience every water sport imaginable in Arizona's miles of rivers, streams and over 30 lakes.
The most popular diving area is around Lake Pleasant. Water surface temperatures can be lovely and warm but quickly drop to around 12C and lower as you descend. Visibility is generally good due to the presence of local muscles although varies depending on season. The water can get very dark below 50 ft so bring a torch. Expect to see fresh water fish including different species of bass and small fry, some interesting wrecks and rocky walls to explore.
Many Dive Centres offer dive trips across the boarder to Mexico for coastal diving.
