Oregon sits in the Pacific Northwest and is home to some hidden diving gems including Crater Lake and Waldo Lake all surrounded by lush forests and mountains.
The coastline itself stretches into the North Pacific offering abundant diving opportunities straight from the shore as well as by boat. Fingers Dive Site is a popular area around Newport with plenty of rocky boulders and marine life, crabbing is popular all along the coast and there are plenty of little coves and inlets to explore.
Crater Lake, Waldo Lake, Clear Lake, Cultus Lake and Odell Lake are phenomenal altitude diving sites and if identified as oligotrophic (nutrient free), you can expect wonderful visibility. Several of the lakes in Oregon have restrictions on motor boats, making them diver friendly.
