Dive Site Overview for Quebec
Quebec has a range of scuba diving opportunities for any level of diver. From numerous quarries and the salt waters of the Lower St. Lawrence with its seals, whales and anemones, to the historical wrecks of the Thousand Islands, there is something for every diver in Quebec.
The 1000 Island Region is one of the world's top freshwater diving locations with a huge number of shipwrecks to explore including several schooners, ferrys and steamers. Water visibility is fantastically clear, due mostly to the unintentional introduction of zebra mussels. Here's just a few of the favourite diving wrecks; the AE Vickery (an 1861 wooden schooner), the 50m long side-wheeled steamer 'The Comet' and the huge wreck of the Conestoga. Tek Diving is also a popular option for exploring these wrecks.
