South Carolina is a scuba diver's paradise all year round and is home to a number of dive sites that provide real adventure for all diving levels.

In addition to diving on the coast, there are a large number of lakes and rivers that are diver friendly. Some of the top rated diving locations in South Carolina include the Edisto River, Pee Dee River, Santee River, Savannah River and Lake Greenwood, with Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie being the largest.

The weather in South Carolina is great for scuba divers, providing long warm summers and short, mild winters and the ocean off the coast has a massive array of shipwrecks available to explore. However, it can have hurricanes, so check the weather forecast early and often.
